How to get to the Castel Sant'Angelo
Take Line A to Lepanto or Ottaviano station. From there, it’s a 10–15 minute walk through Rome’s charming streets to the castle entrance.
Lines 23, 34, 40, 62, and 982 stop near Piazza Pia or Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II, both just steps away from the monument.
If you’re coming from the Vatican or Piazza Navona, it’s an easy 15-minute walk across the Ponte Sant’Angelo, one of Rome’s most beautiful bridges, lined with angel statues.
Ask to be dropped off at Lungotevere Castello or Piazza Adriana, right next to the castle entrance.
